We suggest arriving early to hear the hosts' story about this place and take a walk around the guesthouse. The hospitable hosts will welcome us to show us their newly built treasure.

What to expect?
Enjoy a romantic evening with snacks provided by the gourmet shop "Lauva", where you will hear popular jazz and everyone's favorite romantic melodies. The concert will take place at tables, photos from previous events in the dome. Snacks, a glass of wine, tea and coffee are included in the price. During the break, we will treat you to a delicious country cake.

Guest house "RATS": Beautiful nature, silence, peace, bird calls, animal trails, a special, positive aura, all this can be found in Ratis, Daudzese parish, at the guest house "Rats". The philosophy of the place is to bring people closer to nature, while maintaining maximum comfort for guests' relaxation.

The place amazes with its special aura and elegance. Every detail has been lovingly cared for, without sleeping through the night, so that guests feel, one might say, cozy, but the real feeling upon arriving at this place is so uplifting that it seems like you are floating above the surface of the earth. The heavy solidity of the wood is masterfully combined with large windows letting in light, which creates an elusive feeling of lightness.

Therefore, we will start the concert at this location while it is still daylight, which will allow us to see the well-maintained surroundings. While we will enjoy the concert in the large hall, it will already be dusk outside, allowing the hosts to turn on the romantic lighting in the courtyard. It is difficult to predict the weather on November 23, but in any weather conditions, Ratos will be warm and cozy.

We will move to Ratis with tables and will also bring with us the hardworking snack makers from the Jaunjelgava gourmet shop “Lauva”. Of course, there will also be a delicious country cake. Book this Saturday, November 23rd for an elegant party at Ratis. See you!

BIO Zintis Žvarts : saxophonist and music teacher. Works as a music teacher at school, performs in several bands, and is involved in many different musical projects.

BIO Eriks Upenieks:

Guitarist, composer, author of many projects.

My musical career began in 1999, when I started playing in the jazz orchestra led by Raits Ašmanis. While performing on stage with many popular singers, a close collaboration with Normunds Rutulis was formed. While in the main line-up, countless concerts, concert tours, and studio recordings were performed.

Actively performing on the Latvian pop music scene, he has collaborated with almost all Latvian singers and instrumentalists, thus accumulating a huge amount of stage experience.

In recent years, starting in 2016, I have also begun working as a composer, creating two concert cycles: "Visuma Skaņa" and "Vakara Valsītis". As a composer, I have also participated in writing the music for the anthem of the Rēzekne Film Festival "Open Place", composing the music for the title song of Ginta Krievklana and Uģis Roze's Christmas concert program, as well as composing many children's music songs.
