RĀMI RITI invites you to a soulful concert "The Sun is Rolling in the Middle!" on the banks of the Daugava River, in a wonderful place - a concert dome, where you can enjoy the interplay of sound, play, and presence with musicians and the music they create and play.
The concert is organized with funding from the Sēlija cultural program supported by the State Culture Capital Foundation.
Ambient ethnomusic group RĀMI RITI has been playing together since 2014 and has recorded five studio albums. The latest album, “Zin Dieviņis, zin Laimiņa,” was released last summer.
RĀMI RITI's music is a blend of polyphonic vocals, various instruments played by the musicians (kokles, guitar, flutes, drums, bagpipes, percussion, ukulele, keys, etc.) and song lyrics. They take the listener into a musically vast, deep event, allowing them to look into their own souls and the souls of their people, to feel and perceive the power of our ancestors' wise worldview and the wisdom that transcends time. RĀMI RITI's musical sound fills the soul, washes away the excess and allows us to shine with new strength.
The concert will feature compositions from the latest album, as well as well-loved songs from previous RĀMI RITI albums, and also recently created compositions.
